Brett Melton’s Education
Brett Melton graduated from Illinois Central College (ICC) with an associate’s degree in applied science called Web Systems with a 3.8 GPA. He has also earned three certificates for web designer, web developer, and web-rich internet application developer. Since completing his college courses, he has worked with hundreds of businesses throughout the United States and has also extended his skills in IT, SEO, internet marketing, and analytics.
Experience
While attending college at ICC, Brett Melton worked with multiple business owners including towing companies and school instructors. His job was to build custom websites and improve sales over time. Until recently in 2019, Brett kept those clients for almost 8 years until they retired.
In 2011, Brett Joined a medium sized web firm in Bloomington, IL as a web designer and web developer. He provided services to businesses throughout Illinois and The United States. Since working there, he earned additional responsibilities which included documenting and fixing process improvements, employee/intern training, and risk management. He also became an internet marketing specialist. Within one year, he improved SEO and internet marketing performance by 20%.
From 2010 to 2014, Brett joined Hardee’s to become lead IT support for over 31 stores located throughout Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. While working at Hardee’s, he furthered support for over 220 stores located throughout 15 different states. His responsibility’s grew expeditiously into Presenting Future Projects to Franchise Owners, improving company processes, documenting compliance, network support, software support, equipment replacements, credit card batching, OCB support, wiring, and hardware decommissioning.
In 2014, Melton became a full-time web designer, developer, IT technician, marketing, and SEO specialist.

Brett Melton’s Home Life
Since Brett was 3 years old, he has lived in or around Washington, IL. In 2014, he moved to Peoria, IL for a short time until he moved back to Washington in 2019. He has two sons, co-parents, and is currently single. Around 2017, Melton became a CASA volunteer and took a case approximately 4 hours away every other month. After one and a half years, Brett became a licensed foster parent and took in 3 little girls for roughly 2 years. Being a parent and web guru are the two things he most enjoys.
Volunteering
Brett Melton cares about others and his community. He has volunteered many times including becoming a CASA, foster parent, picking up trash on the side of several roads, cleaning churches, and photography (friend’s wedding, family events, etc.). He continues helping others in need and hopes to foster again in the near future.
